Simply Play was established in 2010 in partnership with West Lothian Council. We provide awesome childhood experiences outside of school hours, to every primary aged child in West Lothian. Play is our work and we create after school adventures that give children great memories. We are a social enterprise, which means that all of our income goes right back in to our service delivery.
We are a long-established social enterprise that specialises in providing professional out of school care in local communities. We collect from schools and care for hundreds of children every day and will have a service near you. We love outdoor adventures and make play our work. Our mission is to provide outstanding after school adventures for all. We have a caring, fun, professional staff team who you can trust to give your child the best of experiences, so they don’t want to leave at the end of the day!

We are, of course, registered with the Care Inspectorate and you can check out our great inspection grades on their website. Our staff are all registered with the Scottish Social Services Council and professionally trained to care for and support primary school aged children.

We always strive to provide the best value childcare in your community and to be as inclusive and flexible as possible.

Wonder Woods is West Lothian’s first and only, fully outdoors woodland nursery, located in woodland at Harburn, near West Calder. It is for 2 ½ year olds to school age and is open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Thursday. It is a partnership nursery with West Lothian Council, which means that everyone can use their free childcare hours entitlement with us. As a fully outdoors, woodland nursery we are rooted in nature and have great facilities (including our purpose built, cosy, log cabin). We spend our days exploring and having adventures, as we play in and around the woodland, engage with nature, enjoy the campfire, and experience the tranquillity of our natural world.
